Description
Château Ausone is one of the oldest and most exclusive estates in Saint-Émilion. Named after the Roman poet Ausonius, who reportedly lived on the property, it is famous for its tiny production and its historic status as a Premier Grand Cru Classé A. The 1987 vintage is a "miracle of terroir." While many Right Bank wines from this year were thin, Ausone managed to maintain its signature mineral backbone and aromatic lift.
