This bottle carries the names of both Jacques Prieur and Antonin Rodet. In the late 1980s, the estate was in a period of transition, and the Rodet family (a major négociant house) stepped in to manage and revitalize the domaine. This era marked the beginning of a massive surge in quality, largely thanks to the arrival of legendary winemaker Nadine Gublin in 1990.
As a 1991, this is one of the earliest vintages under Gublin’s direction. It is a rare "survivor" from a decade of classical, structured winemaking.

Perfect for (food pairing): A wine of this age and stature needs food with intense, earthy flavors. It is perfect for creamy Bresse chicken with morels, roasted veal sweetbreads, or buttered lobster with a touch of saffron. For your caviar service, a rich Imperial Oscietra would be a sublime match, as the wine's nutty, honeyed notes will balance the brine of the roe beautifully.
