Located in the Pauillac appellation, Lynch-Bages is a celebrated Fifth Growth (Cinquième Cru) from the 1855 Classification. Despite its official ranking, it is widely regarded by collectors and critics as a "Super Second" because it consistently performs at the level of a Second Growth, offering a powerful and classic expression of Left Bank Bordeaux.
Now over 20 years old, this bottle is in a beautiful window of maturity. The tannins have softened, and the primary fruit has evolved into a complex array of savory, earthy, and cedar-like notes. It perfectly illustrates the "Pauillac" pedigree—combining raw power with a refined, architectural elegance that allows the wine to age gracefully for several decades.
