This wine comes from Clos de la Roche, the largest and often considered the most "masculine" Grand Cru in Morey-Saint-Denis. Dominique Laurent, a former pastry chef turned "négociant-éleveur," is famous for his "200% new oak" method (racking wine from one new barrel into another), though he has refined this over the years to focus on "magic barrels" with very thick staves.
