this is a profound and highly collectible museum-release Shiraz from one of the Barossa Valley's absolute benchmark producers, Greenock Creek. The fruit is sourced from a tiny, prized single vineyard plot situated on Marananga's historic Roennfeldt Road—widely considered one of the most elite red wine addresses in Australia.

True to Greenock Creek's uncompromising philosophy, the wine was fermented in open slate fermenters, matured for two years in 100% American oak barrels, and then bottle-aged at the winery for an additional three years before its initial release. Now with extensive bottle age, the 2008 vintage presents an incredibly rich, muscular, and multi-layered profile. The nose opens with a concentrated bouquet of blueberry, blackcurrant, candied figs, and sweet praline, layered over cedar wood and smoky char notes. On the palate, it delivers massive power and weight, displaying an indulgent mid-palate sweetness and a velvety texture framed by tightly focused, fully resolved tannins that carry into an exceptionally long, warming finish.
