this is an exquisite, highly allocated single-vineyard village release from Vosne-Romanée’s rising-star boutique estate: the Domaine Boigey Frères Vosne-Romanée "Aux Jachées" 2023. Hailing from the legendary lieu-dit "Aux Jachées"—a terroir renowned for yielding wines of extraordinary aromatic nobility and sensual texture—this cuvée showcases the uncompromising artisan vision of brothers Olivier and Guillaume Boigey. Cultivated with meticulous organic farming, gentle vinification, partial whole clusters, and fine French oak aging, the 2023 vintage captures the pure, energetic heartbeat of the Côte de Nuits. The bouquet soars from the glass with an intoxicating perfume of crushed wild raspberries, dark Morello cherries, and ripe damson plums, layered with fresh red rose petals, violets, whole-cluster spice, black tea, and a refined vein of crushed limestone minerality. On the palate, it is remarkably weightless yet concentrated and deep, coating the mouth in silk-spun, cashmere-fine tannins and vibrant red-berry acidity that glides into an elongated, savory, and hauntingly perfumed finish.
