"Chapelot" is a sub-section of the famous Montée de Tonnerre vineyard. While it is technically a Premier Cru, Raveneau's treatment of this site often results in a wine that outshines many other producers' Grand Crus. The 2005 vintage in Chablis was warm and ripe, which, when combined with Raveneau's signature use of old oak barrels (feuillettes), has created a wine of immense power and texture.
